Melissa Lee

Hey everybody!  Quick update from Melissa Lee! =)  David and I just celebrated our 10-month anniversary this week.  We got married last June 8.  We honeymooned for one week in Belize, came back to Austin for one day, and then headed to Taiwan.  I was able to continue honeymooning for four more weeks while David worked in Taipei, Shanghai, and Sydney!  I had a blast!!!  The uncontested best part of our trip was getting to start off at the Morrison reunion.  It was great to see some of you there!  We have a website that holds photos from our wedding until last Christmas.  Take a look!

Here are recent goings-on in the Lee household:

* We went camping together for the first time last weekend and plan to do that a lot more often!  David likes to mountain bike and I like to just relax, so it's a great fit for us.

* We spend a lot of time doing stuff with people from church.  Recently we helped with a carnival for an under-privileged school that our church supports.  It was tons of fun making snow cones again!!!!  Thought of you guys!

* David can't stand to pass up a good car deal when he sees one.  Thus, two weeks ago we acquired a '96 Mustang convertible.  It is a blast!  And it looks nice beside it's predecessor, David's '66 Mustang convertible.  We got to ride the '66 Mustang away from our wedding, which was SO fun.

* We just got back from three days in St. Paul for David's work (at 3M headquarters).  I'm torn between hoping we don't have to move there because of the weather (David could get transferred there someday), and wanting very much to move there to be closer to my sister Monica.

* Austin continues to be a wonderful place to live!  It is full of flowers, sunshine, water, great food, and great music!

* Also noteworthy: My sister Stephanie moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last September to help manage a couple of studies conducted by Harvard U Medical School, on AIDS and prenatal nutrition.  She loves it there and has gotten involved with a high-spirited African church--her passion!
