Jean-Robert Bellande

Dear Class,

It is really wonderful to hear from you once in a while.  Many of my favorite memories come from times that I spent with you.  Last year's reunion was a wonderful time and I hope that we can all meet back in Taiwan for that big reunion some of you were speaking of.  Special thanks to you, Joanna, for that fantastic website you've provided us with.

Right now, work is especially taxing.  I often wake up at 7am to go to my restaurant and don't get home until 1 or 2 in the morning.  This past Friday was the official opening of Jean-Robert's SKY SUSHI and it was a tremendous success.  Sky Sushi is my dream come true.  It has all the things I love including a Sushi Bar, 10 TV's for sports viewing, a 1500 sq. ft VIP area for my big spenders, 11 full size Gold Crown pool tables, a 1000 sq ft. dance floor (shhhh! don't tell uncle Buddy), and a 200 person outdoor patio.  When any of you stop in L.A., it will be my pleasure to spoil you and your families at my spot.

Two weeks ago Bruce passed by and we had a great day together.  He's doing great with his company Intel who just promoted him to a position overseas in Malaysia.  I believe he's in the process of moving there now.

My little brother Reggy is doing great in the computer field as well.  He works with a company named First Call out of Boston and turned down a promotional opportunity move to Singapore.  Reggy travels all the time with his work and passes by LA from time to time.  He hasn't yet seen Sky Sushi of which he owns 5%.

My girlfriend Lisa and I are still together (attached is hopefully a
picture).  She got saved a few months after our class reunion last year and now she is the one pushing me to go to church and read the word... I am certainly not the easiest person in the world to date and she has put up with me for about two years now.  (wow!  I think that's a record.)

My mom is still in Haiti teaching and doing mission work.  My Dad lives about 10 minutes from me and I see him once or twice a week.  He and I had 50 yard line seats at the women's world cup final last month in Pasadena.  Great Fun.

Please check in with me from time to time and email me pictures.  You can reach me at jeanrbr@aol.com.

love you

-Bobby
